The only thing I’m going to say about the drama surrounding A-Rod is that I’m sick of it. There are so many great things happening this season, and yet we’re stuck talking about him, Ryan Braun, and all of the other players who were suspended for using PED’s. So instead of focusing on the negative, how about we turn our attention to all the good that’s happening in baseball right now.
I want to talk about the Pirates, who are 74-51 at the time this post was written, and at the top of the NL Central. They are having an unbelievable season. I’ve caught a few games, and it excites me to see a team who in the past was easily forgotten come out and blow their opponents away.

And while we’re at it, let’s give Eden Connor’s Braves a BIG shout out. They have pretty much ran away with their division, which is easy to do when you’re winning 15 straight games.
So what about those Yankees, you ask? It’s been an up and down season to say the least. When A-Rod rejoined the team, I didn't know how to react. Would I cheer if he hit a few bombs out of the park and helped score us some runs—something we’d been struggling to do for some time? Or would I just be happy my team is winning again.

I still don’t know how to react when it comes to him, but I will admit that ever since he, Soriano, and Cano have come together and made up the middle of the lineup, they've been unstoppable. It’s like they’re a completely different team. Cano recently hit his 200th homerun, and Ichiro has made it to 4,000 hits (if you count the ones in Japan). Now all we need is a healthy Jeter, and I think we’ll make a strong run towards grabbing one of the wildcard spots. It should be an exciting rest of the season. Let’s Go Yanks!
